Art Messer is a fine art painter currently living and painting in Seattle. He travels extensively through southern France and adds the color and life he finds there to all of his works.

"A Fauvist in Paris"

Fauvist or wild-beast was the establishment’s label for artists like Matisse, Dufy and Cézanne and their bold use of color as expression in the early 1900's. During recent trips to Paris, Messer found the movement still alive and well in the city's museums and contemporary art galleries. Messer's new works are influenced by these past Fauvist masters.
